At BPCL Mumbai, Maharashtra, Servotech completed a 500KV Solar PV project. The project’s solar facility, which was completed in 2019, will consist of multiple solar array blocks consisting of either traditional or bifacial PV modules mounted on horizontal, single-axis trackers, and was dedicated to their Clean India drive, which calls for the use of renewable and sustainable energy sources, such as solar power.

The project is estimated to cost roughly Rs.4 crore and generates 8.21 million units of electricity per year. The project’s cost is estimated to be recouped in 5 years if averaged at Rs.10 per unit of power, and the refinery will operate at zero cost after that. The solar installation is just one aspect of the company’s broader effort to reduce its environmental imprint, and it helps to achieve the common objective of delivering significant renewable energy to the grid by 2023, as well as a significant decrease in carbon emissions.
