The Solar Power Conditioning Unit (PCU) is a complete system that includes a solar charge controller, inverter, and grid charger. The Battery Voltage, Solar Power, and Output Loads are all continuously monitored by the PCU. Once the Battery Voltage drops below a particular level due to prolonged use of power, the PCU will seamlessly transfer the load to Grid power while also charging the Batteries.
Whereas a solar panel is the most basic requirement for a solar system, a battery plays a secondary role. A battery stores energy, which is why it is so important. Solar batteries give you greater independence from the power grid. This reduces the total energy necessary to keep the batteries charged under standby float by reducing the float charging current.
